US government will play effective role to boost bilateral trade, investment with Pakistan; Consulate official

Official of US Consulate has reiterated that US government will play its effective role to boost and explore business and investment opportunities with Pakistan to benefit its people. US consulate appreciates efforts of America Pakistan Business Development Forum (AMPAK BDF) in this regard. These views were expressed by Mark Russell, Senior Officer, Commercial Service, US Department of Commerce International Trade Administration, Consulate of United States of America in Karachi during his meeting with the delegation of AMPAK BDF held here at a local hotel.

Delegation was headed by Nawaid Isa, Founder & President AMPAK BDF and Managing Partner ICCMC who travelled alongwith few US businessmen and investors from Houston to launch Pakistan Chapter of this forum in Karachi. Other members of delegation included Syed Nasser Wajahat, Secretary General, Pakistan Chapter, Akhtar Shaheen Rind, Syed Turab Shah, Secretary Corporate Affairs, Ali Pesnani, Secretary Investment & Banking and Noorul Hasan.

Talking with delegation members, Mark Russell lauded launch of AMPAK BDF in Pakistan and appreciated efforts of Nawaid Isa, Syed Nasser Wajahat and other team members. Your team has done a wonderful job despite uncertain situation in the country on event day and greatly hosted US businessmen and investors here in Karachi. This is commendable, he said.

We are interested to work with AMPAK BDF in future and will explore more avenues to complement its efforts for promotion of friendly business relations between the two nations, he assured.

He also shared few ongoing and future projects aiming to enhance bilateral trade and investment and invited AMPAK BDF team to take it a step forward.

On behalf of AMPAK BDF, Mark Russell presented a shield to Secretary Investment & Banking of AMPAK BDF Pakistan Chapter Ali Pesnani.
