Mr. Tariq Haleem a nominee of Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association (PSAA) has been elected as Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry by securing highest number of votes in an election held recently. This is the first time that a person from shipping and maritime sector has been elected as vice president of apex trade body of Pakistan. Mr. Tariq Haleem has been successfully managing the affairs of FPCCI standing committee on ports, shipping, maritime & ship building for the last six years and resolved various issues concerning progress of ports and shipping,their users including port congestion surcharge and transport strike etc.

Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association (PSAA) extends fullest co-operation to Mr. Tariq and confident that FPCCI members will be greatly benefitted because of his long 40 years association with various sectors of shipping industry.

It may be mentioned here that United Business Group (UBG) has swept FPCCI elections 2018 with their nominated candidates being successful on all positions. It was the fourth consecutive year of success for UBG under the patronage of Mr. S.M. Muneer with whose guidance, FPCCI has risen in last three years to phenomenal heights establishing strong position within trade and industry circles and with concerned authorities in provincial and federal governments.
