Seminar on ‘Post Pulwama-Threat of Hybrid Warfare and What Next,’ by KCFR

Hybrid warfare was a blend of conventional and irregular war fighting techniques along with employing other non-kinetic means to undermine an enemy’s strength. This type of warfare was more catastrophic in essence, as it pervades into multifaceted frontiers of enemy’s territory; psychologically undermining its decision making capabilities, systematically crippling its financial and information networks using cyber technology, economic strangulation via coercive economic diplomacy and leveraging its influence over international actors and institutions and meanwhile, developing and maintaining a robust defence posture.

In the case of Pulwama, it is very clear that Modi got to an advantage by naming this terrorist act to be from Pakistan. Secondly, soon after, on 19th Feb, was Kulbhushan’s trial in Hague. The Judges would get reminded of Pakistan being a terrorist country! Thirdly, RAW is clearly directing anti Pakistan activities in and around Balochistan; the recent terrorist activity killing dozens of Iranians in Irani Balochistan not far from Pakistan border, too is a blatant act by RAW to malign Pakistan.

RAW being one of the cunning most secret agencies has been seen piling up and imposing instruments of hybrid warfare on Pakistan.

These were views of expert panelists at a seminar on ‘Post Pulwama-Threat of Hybrid Warfare and What Next,’ organised by the Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) here at a local hotel.

The Panelists were Ikram Sehgal, Chairman KCFR, Ambassador Najmuddin A. Shaikh, Former Foreign Secretary, Dr. Asif Mahmood and Dr. Huma Baqai, Associate Dean at IBA.

Experts advised that keeping our political sentiments aside, Pakistanis should be cautious of expressing their views on social media that would counter the National cause, with a fear of manipulation of National perspective.

Nonetheless, it was essential to allow Kashmiris to exercise their plebiscite right as narrated in UNSC Resolutions and Pakistan must continue its support, morally and politically to let Kashmiris achieve their aims ultimately.

Kashmir’s geographic and strategic link with Pakistan was discussed at length at the Seminar and the historic background of Kashmiri uprising starting from 1930 through events in 1947 and the wars between Pakistan and India in 1948, 1965 and 1971 were explained.

Twelve of the UN Security Council Resolutions starting in April, 1948 were elaborated, which said as to how must Kashmir issue needed to be decided through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite.

It was explained as to why Kashmiris wave Pakistan’s flag on Indian National Days. To stop that, around seven lacs (0.7 million) Indian army troops have been stationed in Kashmir which is half of the Indian Army. In this local and indigenous war of independence over 100,000 Kashmiris have been killed and thousands of women have been raped, speakers mentioned.

It was analyzed as to how on 14 February 2019, a convoy of military vehicles, was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora in the Pulwama districtJammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the attacker. The attacker was Adil Ahmad Dar, a local from Pulwama district, whose sisters were raped and family was tortured. Once again India blamed Pakistan for the attack, an allegation that Pakistan has vigorously denied.

Ever since, attacks on the Line of Control are carried out by India nearly every day. Both Indian and Pakistan Air Forces attacked each other’s areas, wherein, an Indian Pilot was captured and freed by Pakistan.

It was pointed out by a speaker that on the next day, after Pulwama attack on Indian Security Forces in Kashmir, Bahadra Kumar, an experienced former Indian Diplomat, in his article on Pulwama Terrorist attack has very subtlety pointed out the possibility of this being a false flag operation; i.e. an act by Indians (RAW) themselves in support of Modi’s coming elections. He wrote that first measure to find out clues of such acts would be who benefits and who got damaged (put to disadvantage) due to this terrorist act. IT’S CLEARLY TO ADVANTAGE OF INDIA AND PUTS PAKISTAN TO DISADVANTAGE. Modi’s main slogan in the forthcoming Indian election has been his anti-Pakistan face calling all such acts to be from, as he calls ‘TERRORIST Pakistan’ that his hard stance needs to be pursued further after election; thus vote for Modi.

In this case, it is very clear that Modi got to an advantage by naming this terrorist act to be from Pakistan. Secondly, soon after, on 19th Feb, was Kalbhoshan’s trial in Hague. The Judges would get reminded of Pakistan being a terrorism country! Thirdly, RAW is clearly directing anti Pakistan activities in and around Balochistan; the recent terrorist activity killing dozens of Iranians in Irani Balochistan not far from Pakistan border, too is a blatant act by RAW to malign Pakistan.

Panelists said that this was once again to gain both advantages mentioned above. That is, to awe the Judges of ICJ, during Kulbhushan’s trial on 29 February and of course to gain advantage for Modi in the coming Indian elections. Elias Davidson, the German author, had clearly explained in his book Betrayal of India, how RAW had managed Mumbai attacks. Therefore, possibility of Pulwama terrorism is clearly a False Flag Operation. Alternately without any connection with Pakistan it is purely an indigenous Kashmiri act as Pakistan would get negative effects of this Pulwama terrorism act, in case it was an ISI directed act, the told.

However, Pakistan now needs to get around the world with this true notion to show RAW’s vile face against the innocent human beings, getting killed in and outside India. This had been seen in Mumbai carnage, attack on Indian Parliament, attack on Pathankot Brigade Headquarters, which were all proven False Flag Operations, speakers recommended.
