Overseas Pakistani workers remitted US $16257million in the first ten months (July to April) of FY18, showing a growth of 3.92 % compared with US $15643.97million received during the same period in the preceding year.

During April2018, the inflow of worker’s remittances amounted to US $1650.59million, which is 6.89% lower thanMarch2018 and 7.25%higher than April2017. The country wise details for the month of April2018 show that inflows from Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, UK, GCC countries (including Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman) and EU countries amounted to US $399.56million, US $358.28 million, US $240.39 million, US $232.58 million, US $167.68 million and US $54.74 million respectively compared with the inflow of US $439.13 million, US $344.01 million, US $199.69 million, US $191.62 million, US $175.18 million and US$41.89 million respectively in April2017. Remittances received from Malaysia, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Japan and other countries during April2018 amounted to US $197.36million together as against US $147.42 million received inApril 2017.
