The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$14,893.2million on 28September2018.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$8,408.5million

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$6,484.7million

Total liquid foreign reserves : US$14,893.2 million

During the week ending 28September2018,SBP’s reserves decreased by US$627million to US$8,409million, due to payments on account of external debt servicing.
