Pakistani ambassadors play vital role in image building of the country: Mian Zahid Hussain

President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President All Karachi Industrial Alliance (AKIA), Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister, Mian Zahid Hussain on Monday said that the envoys conference organized by the government is appreciative as Pakistani ambassadors play vital role in the image building of the Country. Given to the current economic situation of the Country, timing of envoys conference is very important and will draw positive impacts.

Prime Minister Imran Khan gave clear instructions to resolve issues faced by overseas Pakistani and motivate Pakistani businessmen abroad to invest in the Country; the aims can be fulfilled undoubtedly through foreign missions. The commercial attaches should form effective strategy to impress the foreign investors, assuring them that Pakistan is a real paradise for investors, where lies bundle of investment opportunities in various sectors.

The Veteran Business Leader while talking to the business community said that overseas Pakistanis contributing $ 20 billion to foreign exchequer of the country, which indeed is a great helping towards stability of foreign exchange reserves. The government should facilitate overseas Pakistanis in all aspects and consider them as Country’s real asset.

The Former Minister said that capacity building of human resource, going abroad is need of time and need instant consideration, so that Pakistanis in abroad can get better work opportunities, salaries and incentives to send more remittances. Qatar has offered one lac jobs, which will help Pakistan in curbing unemployment and will draw a positive impact of remittances. Government should focus on capacity building of masses going for job abroad. Skill development council, small and medium enterprise development authority and national vocational and technical training commission are already working in this area, however, their role must be broaden to cater the needs of people living in remote areas.

Mian Zahid Hussain said that government should consider the recommendations of Pakistan overseas employment promoters association in order to enhance skills of Pakistani workers and find new opportunities for Pakistanis in various countries. Over 64 percent of Country’s population is below 30, but due to scarcity of skills, resources and employment opportunities the country’s true asset is helpless in carrying the national economy to new limits. If government really took measures for polishing our youth, they can change the destiny of Pakistan.
