Plastic manufacturers disapproves federal budget FY19

Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA) expressing its displeasure has criticized new federal budget terming it friendly for non tax payers. In a statement issued here on Sunday, Zakaria Usman, Chairman PPMA and Zafar Saeed, Convener association’s Taxation Committee PPMA expressed their concerns over proposed changes in the budget saying this will badly affect the plastic sector.

​​Cement industry capacity utilization touches 95% during first ten months of this fiscal

Bullish trend in cement dispatches continued unabated in April 2018 and buoyancy in exports was an icing on the cake as exports increased for the second month by over 81 percent as sector posted highest capacity utilization. According to data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), the industry dispatched 4.237 million tons of cement in April 2018 that was 17.46 percent higher than the dispatches of 3.576 million tons achieved during the corresponding month of last fiscal.

FPCCI shows concern over dissolution of EDB

Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir Sr. Vice President FPCCI showed his serious concern over the decision of abolishing of Engineering Development Board (EDB) and termed it as anti-industry which would affect the engineering industrialization in Pakistan particularly disaster to auto industry.

He stated that EDB is playing a crucial role in promotion of engineering sector by protecting the domestic industry and facilitating the engineering sector with incentives.
