UIT offers discount to PEC engineers for signing up courses

The Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which UIT will offer a 20% discount on the total fee of the course to all engineers registered with the council.

Under the agreement, the institute will offer the discount on courses the engineers sign up to study at the institute till June 2019.

77 Pakistani High School Students prepare to begin academic year in the United States

American Ambassador David Hale on Tuesday met with 50 Pakistani alumni of the U.S. government-funded Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program, along with 77 students who will soon depart to participate in the program.  Since 2004 more than 900 outstanding Pakistani high school students 15-17 years of age have participated in the year-long YES academic exchange, which includes studying at a U.S.

PM seeks proposals to address issues of Gwadar, depleting fish resources

Prime Minister Justice (Retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk Tuesday sought comprehensive and concrete proposals for addressing issues related to development of Gwadar Port and fast-depletion of fisheries resources from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.

Chairing a briefing on functions of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, its departments and autonomous organizations here at the Prime Minister Office, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Ministry.
