DIG South shows strong resolve to curb street crime

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police South Karachi Division Azad Khan has said that to curb street crime is top most priority of Police in Karachi. He was talking to a meeting held at Korangi Association of Trade &Industry (KATI). He told that to revamp force response 15 service has been uplifted on technologically and 100 mobile vans have been designated for rapid response with this signal task.

DP World Chairman meets Ecuador Minister of Foreign Trade

Rizwan Ahmed becomes Chairman PNSC

The federal government has appointed Mr. Rizwan Ahmed, a BS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), as Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC). The new chairman assumed charge of his office on Monday, 4th December 2017.

Mr. Rizwan holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA.

Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves position

According to state Bank of Pakistan, the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$19,693.2 million on 24November2017.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under :-

Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 13,547.3 million

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 6,145.9 million

Total liquid foreign reserves             : US$ 19,693.2 million

During the week ending 24November2017, SBP’s reserves increased by US$6 million to US$13,547 million.
