Pakistan to participate in Cuban trade show: FPCCI

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Monday said Pakistan would participate in Cuban trade show, an annual event in which around seventy countries take part. Pakistan can reach the Latin American markets through Cuba to increase exports, said Abdul Rauf Alam, President FPCCI.

Commissioner Karachi says four schemes for industrial areas approved

Commissioner Karachi Ejaz Ahmed Khan has said that development schemes for Industrial Areas of the city, approved by CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, will be implemented till January next year. While addressing a meeting at Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) he told that four associations representing their industrial areas have presented the plans for their needed projects, we are waiting it from other industrial areas the same and willing to start work on these schemes from the January next year.

PRBC to send high powered delegation to Romania in May 2017: Sohail Firpo

Chairman of Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC) Sohail Shamim Firpo has informed that PRBC was planning to send a high-powered delegation to Romania in May 2017 to explore more opportunities of enhancing the existing bilateral trade between Pakistan and Romania. Sohail Firpo, who was accompanied by all the Directors of PRBC during his visit to Karachi Chamber, expressed his eagerness to utilize all available resources, make collective and all-out efforts to raise the existing trade volume between the two countries.

State Bank Annual Report Release: Reforms and Active Private Sector Participation Can Boost Economic Growth

State Bank of Pakistan released its Annual Report on the State of Economy for the year 2015-16 today. According to the Report, Pakistan’s economy maintained its momentum towards a higher growth trajectory in FY16, as higher infrastructure spending by the government and decades low interest rates provided a boost to domestic demand.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan met the British Home Secretary Ms. Amber Rudd in London on Monday. The Interior Minister is on a three-day visit to London where he is holding meetings with senior British government dignitaries.

The two leaders discussed a host of issues ranging from cooperation in counter-terrorism, illegal immigration, organized crimes, narcotics control, money laundering, and other issues of mutual interest.
