NHA increased toll collection booths at Hakla toll plaza

As per the directive of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr Shahbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Communications and National Highway Authority undertook immediate measures and established additional toll collection booths at Hakla Toll Plaza on Hakla-D.I.Khan Motorway. It is to recall that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Shahbaz Sharif took serious notice of reports regarding the traffic rush at Hakla Toll Plaza and issued orders to ensure smooth traffic flow at this point by increasing the number of toll collection booths.

Making practical advancements to this effect, National Highway Authority (NHA) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) arranged additional booths within two days, which has paved the way to overcome the traffic rush at Hakla Toll Plaza.

Federal Minister for Communications Mr Asad Mahmood and Federal Secretary Communications/Chairman NHA Capt ® Muhammad Khurram Agha visited Hakla Toll Plaza today. On this occasion, Federal Minister for Communications Mr Asad Mahmood expressed deep gratitude to Chairman NHA and his team and officials of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) for setting up additional booths in the limited time of 48 hours.

The Federal Minister for Communications, Mr Asad Mahmood, was interested in introducing e-tolling on Hakla-D.I.Khan motorway to facilitate the traffic. He said all possible steps would be ensured to provide travelling and civic amenities to the travellers on all the motorways and national highways throughout the country.
