MD KW&SB directed to resolve sewerage issues in Korangi Industrial Area

Managing Director of Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) Asadullah Khan has directed to resolve all sewerage water related issues in Korangi Industrial Area, particularly in sector 23, within 2 weeks. He was addressing to a special meeting arranged by Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI). President KATI Saleem-uz-Zaman, Chairman & CEO KITE Zubair Chhaya, Masood Naqi, Senior Vice President Zaki Ahmed Sharif, Vice President Nighat Awan, Head of KATI’s standing Committee on KWSB Sheikh Umer Rehan and others also addressed the occasion.

MD water board said that we understand the importance of industry as its runs the country and provide revenue to government institutions, it is our core responsibility to resolve all issues of industry on priority. He also directed water board officials to take urgent action on the sewerage issues of sector 23 and coordinate with KATI.

President KATI Saleem-uz-Zaman briefed MD KWSB regarding water supply and sewerage issues of Korangi Industiral Area. He told that after devastating rainfall during last moth many of areas in KIA were still affected and road and sewerage network were depleted especially in sector 23. He urged MD to take early notice of the problems of the area. Zubair Chhaya told the MD that to resolve sewerage issue of sector 23 KITE extended every possible assistance but issues were not resolved yet, we look forward for better coordination with the board in the future. Sheikh Umer Rehan urged MD that water supply is one of the biggest hurdles in the way of industrial production, many industries needed water connections. Masood Naqi also briefed MD water board regarding sewerage issues in sector 23 and PS-II.
