ACCA and NIC reiterate commitment to develop start-ups and innovation value chain in Pakistan

PTI govt. should take practical measures to fulfil its promise of 10 million jobs: Mian Zahid Hussain

President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President All Karachi Industrial Alliance (AKIA), Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister, Mian Zahid Hussain on Monday said that United Nations in its recent report on youth development disclosed that 1.4 million youngsters enter job market each year.

PTCL & Ufone, Edotco collaborate to enhance Pakistan’s connectivity capabilities

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) &its subsidiary, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited, Ufone, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with edotco Group (edotco), leading end to end integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, through its local operations edotco Pakistan Private Limited (edotco PK), to enhance the country’s connectivity capabilities.

Standard Chartered launches Women in Tech programme

Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited announces the launch of Women in Tech, a global programme aimed at supporting greater diversity in gender representation within technology based entrepreneurship. Partnering with INNOVentures and the Pakistan Innovation Foundation (PIF), Standard Chartered Women in Tech programme aims to promote the economic and social development of women in Pakistan through innovation or technology led entrepreneurship.

State Bank supporting SMEs for setting up business and its growth

To improve awareness about its SME finance policy and refinance schemes, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted meetings with manufacturers and exporters of cutlery, stainless steel utensils, water pumps and ceramics belonging to SME sector in Gujranwala. Representing SBP, Syed Samar Hasnain, Executive Director, State Bank of Pakistan said that SMEs can avail a number of financial services such as setting up and expansion of their business and working capital finance for specific sectors.

Free flowing rivers and personhood rights of Indus River

Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum along with Arts Council of Pakistan organized a conference on “Free flowing rivers and personhood rights of Indus River” in Karachi on Thursday.

Addressing the event Chairman of PFF Syed Muhammad Ali Shah said that we are putting efforts to get fundamental human rights for Indus River to protect it from the damages we ourselves have brought on to it.
