KATI welcomes PM consideration for dropping down cost of doing business

President of Korangi Association of Trade &Industry (KATI) Tariq Malik, Senior Vice President Muhammad Salman Aslam and Vice President Junaid Naqi welcomed the directives of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to deal with increased cost of doing business through incentives for export sector.

In a statement released it was mentioned that cost of doing business and increasing cost of production were a long awaited issue to be resolved and business community raised its voice over this issue innumerable occasions. Tariq Malik Said that high energy tariffs, Infrastructural problems, double taxation and custom duties were causing higher costs for businesses and industry sector. He hoped that the Prime Minister will also consider these issues as well, while bringing reforms in trade and economic policies of his government. Malik was of view that lowering cost of business wasn’t just essential for the industry or trade; it was also need of time to provide employment opportunities to the youth of country, because only industries could offer required jobs, and if once industrialization would take its place, we can fight back the problem. He also said that just because of higher costs many of industries have been closed down all over the country, it the required measures would be taken on time, process of industrialization can be back on track.
