KATI requests protective measures for Custom Officials

President of Korangi Association of Trade & industry (KATI) Masood Naqi, Senior Vice President Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Vice President Umer Rehan and head of KATI’s Standing committee on Customs, Port & Shipping Faraz-ur-Rehman demanded security for the personals and officials of Customs, performing their duties on border areas. In a statement released by KATI, office bearers of the association also condemned the attacks on Customs officials in Mastung (Balochistan) and also paid tribute to the martyrs.

Masood Naqi said that smuggling and illegal trade is cancer for the economy of our country, personals and officials of Customs, Coast Guard and other LEAs are protecting the borders are also protecting the economy in true sense. “Attacks on these forces are basically is the part of destabilizing economy, and anti Pakistan forces orchestrating such attacks to weaken our economy” he said. Masood Naqi suggested to take security measures to protect Costums officials, especially deployed on border areas. Faraz-ur-Rehman, Head of KATI’s Standing Committee on Customs, Port & Shipping said that business community salutes and recognizes the sacrifices of Custom Official and personals .He also demanded that these sacrifices should be honored on national level by paying tribute to the martyrs and asked for gallantry awards and rehabilitation of the families of slain officials.
