President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Salman Aslam has expressed his gratitude for the timely action of fire tenders in the Korangi Sector 15 and 27 fire incidents. He said that the provision of fire tenders in collaboration with Prime Minister Imran Khan and Governor Sindh made it possible to deal with the emergency in the industrial area promptly. KATI’s fire tenders left immediately after receiving the report and reached the spot and put out the fire, which resulted in saving severe loss of life and property.

On the occasion, Salman Aslam also appreciated the orders given by Saleem-uz-Zaman, Immediate Past president of KATI and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Fire Station, to immediate control of the fire and the effective measures taken.

President KATI said that this incident has boosted the confidence of the industrialists that timely action is possible in an emergency. He said that in this regard we thank the Sindh Government, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), and local government officials for their cooperation in providing firefighting staff for the fire tenders who helped save a large number of lives and property yesterday.

Salman Aslam said that if there were no firefighters, timely rescue operations would not have been possible as a result of which a major tragedy could have taken place. However, the courage of the staff overcame the emergency and the services of the firefighters are commendable.

Salman Aslam said that KATI is committed to the welfare of the Korangi industrial area and to providing full facilities and services to the members of KATI including the industrialists and is ready to deal with such a situation in the future.
