The annual general body meeting of Idara Yadgar-e-Ghalib held at Ghalib Library in Nazimabad, Karachi. Held on the death anniversary of Mirza Ghalib, the great Urdu poet of the subcontinent, the general body meeting elected Mr. Sabih Rehmani as the new president of Idara Yadgar-e-Ghalib.

In his address, Sabih Rehmani, the newly elected president, affirmed his commitment to promoting the literary activities in the city of Karachi, particularly in the realm of Urdu literature.

Mr. Rehmani vowed to infuse a new spirit in the organization for the greater cause of the support and inculcation of reading habit and culture in the present-day digital era, which is ruled by smartphone devices and hi-tech communication gadgets.

The annual general meeting of Idara Yadgar-e-Ghalib, held at Ghalib Library in Nazimabad, Karachi, was participated by renowned Urdu scholars such as Professor Sahar Ansari, Prof. Dr. Tanzeem-ul-Firdous, Hamza Farooqui, Younus Hasni, Mubeen Mirza, and many others.
