The first HP Invitation Golf Tournament 2015 Pakistan held at Karachi Golf Club on May 16. Despite hot weather, 123 amateur golfers participated in this 18-hole premier event comprising of representatives from leading MNCs, Banks & Financial Institutions, Utility & IT companies, and Industrial sector.

The game was played on Stroke Play format and a tough yet entertaining competition was witnessed. The competition had six Winners, three each from Gross and Net categories including two Runner-ups and a Winner. Besides main Winners, special prizes were given for Longest Drive Women, Longest Drive Men and Nearest to the Pin.

The event was formally announced open by Mr. Vijay Balan, GM & MD AEC HP. In his welcome speech, Mr. Balan expressed his gratitude to the HP customers, partners and participants from the business community for their overwhelming response and participation. He further highlighted that this initiative signified HP’s commitment and importance to Pakistan in its business plans for the future.

Besides Mr. Vijay Balan, many senior executives from the region also participated in the event, including, Mr. Sascha Haake (GM Enterprise Server & Converged Systems), Mr. Paul Morris (Microsoft Alliance Director HP APJ), Ms. Alexandra Schmidt (Manager Business Risk Management & Brand Protection) hosted by Junaid Javed (Country Head HP Enterprise Group Pakistan).

The participants highly appreciated the seamless organization of the event by the managers of the event ‘Pegasus Consultancy’. Addressing the closing ceremony, Mr. Aamer Khanzada (MD Pegasus) on behalf of the business and golf community of Pakistan, extended thanks to HP for this premier initiative and announced the names of Winners of the HP Invitational Golf Tournament 2015!
