HAMDARD NAUNEHAL ASSEMBLY HELD

A function of Hamdard Naunehal Assembly Karachi chapter, comprising speeches, recitation of verses from Holy Quran, na’at poetic tribute and dua-a-Said was held yesterday at a local hotel.

 

Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Sadia Rashid, President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan said, every country had the right to defend itself and to defend it self was not meant to make war. The war of 1965 was an unusual event of the history of Pakistan as the whole nation stood like a rock behind its army and in fact this war was fought by the whole nation, she added.

 

‘Today the wars are being fought on economic front and it is the need of the hour that we should make our country economically strong and solid’, she said, adding that all children and youth should concentrate on their education so that they could defend their country at all fronts of economic competition and industrial growth.

 

Ms. Shamim Kazmi, a renowned social worker and Chief guest of the function said that the value of freedom and own country was recognized when one went to a foreign country and being a member of military family she knew what was a life of a military man and how he defended his country at the cost of his life.

 

Commending the Hamdard Naunehal Assembly she said that she had saw great talent and confidence among the child speakers. May God bless them with more zeal and enthusiasm. We should value our freedom, being a priceless thing in the world and it was achieved with countless sacrifices, made by our elders, she added.

 

Child speakers Hafiza Urooba, Ubaidurahman, Niha Shakil, Laiba Safdar, Rida Ajmal, Siraj Iqbal and Moattar Ahmed also spoke.
