Cyber fraud becomes the most profitable crime in Pakistan: Mian Zahid Hussain

Chairman of National Business Group of FPCCI, President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum and All Karachi Industrial Alliance, and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Monday said different gangs of cybercriminals have become a national security threat.

These criminals are attacking banks, financial institutions and online business hitting confidence of masses and the business community while the institution supposed to deal with them is not very efficient.

PSX sees profit taking today

· Market traded range bound today, oscillating between -217pts and +117pts and closing the session -204pts. Profit booking was observed in E&P, Fertilizer, O&GMCs, Cement and Banking sectors. Regression in international crude prices became the reason for negative sentiment in E&P sector, on the other hand continuous foreign selling in Fertilizer sector pulled the prices down.

K-Electric renovates park in Liaqatabad

K-Electric, in a ceremony held here on January 14th, handed over the renovated Pir JeeAchan Family Park to members of the Liaquatabad community. The park will serve as a popular spot for around 7,500 households in the area.

KATI expresses concern over increased petroleum prices

Acting-President of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) Nighat Awan has expressed concern over the increase in petroleum prices and urged to revisit the pricing methodology fortnightly.

9-Month-old conjoined twins successfully separated in Pakistan

Muhammad Ayan and Muhammad Aman, born as conjoined twins to Mr. and Mrs. Israr Ahmed, are now living as two healthy children after a successful separation surgery performed at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) on 12 December 2020.

Ayan and Aman were Omphalopagus type of conjoined twins, in which the bodies of the two are joined at the abdomen and several internal organs are shared, including liver and sometimes the intestines.

Selling activity was observed by PSX today

· Market traded in a narrow range between -114pts & +188pts, closing the session -58pts. Selling activity was observed almost across the board, but was more prominent in Cement, Banks and O&GMC sectors. Engineering (Steel) sector performed well in relative terms on the back of expectation of an increase in product prices.
