DP World reports record volume of 70 million teu and 10.1% volume growth in 2017

DP World Limited handled 70.1 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) across its global portfolio of container terminals in the full year of 2017, with gross container volumes growing by 10.1% year-on-year on a reported basis and 9.7% on a like-for-like1basis, ahead of Drewry Maritime’s global container throughput growth estimate2 of 6.0% for 2017.

Milaha acquires its largest container vessel

Doha, Qatar — Milaha, a Qatar-based maritime and logistics conglomerate, has acquired its largest container vessel to date, Majd, a 3,768 TEU vessel. The new vessel will be one of the 17 container vessels that the group operates, and is part of the ongoing expansion of the group’s overall fleet.

PNSC approves financial results for 9MFY2016

The Board of Directors of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) in its meeting held on 27th April 2016 has approved the financial results for last nine months. It has achieved Group after Tax Profit of Rs 1,364 million during nine months period ended March 31, 2016 against Rs 1,051 million in the same period last year.
