Business Council to promote Pakistan and Canada trade

Canada-Pakistan Business Council President Sameer Dossal has said that he wants to promote trade between the two countries. There are ample opportunities to increase trade in Pakistan which I consider it my responsibility to identify. One of the steps taken to remove barriers of investment from Canada was the aid of Abdul Sattar Edhi, with 185 Edhi ambulances running in the country. He expressed these views while addressing a luncheon at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI). A large number of KATI and CPBC members including KATI President Salman Aslam, Senior Vice President Maheen Salman, Shabnam Zafar of Khairpur Chamber, Ehteshamuddin were present on the occasion.

The President of Canada Pakistan Business Council further said that love and respect is extended to SM Muneer, Patron-in-Chief of KATI, for the last 20 years under his patronage he has been taking all possible steps to solve the problems of investors of both the countries. He said that businessmen from Canada have shown interest in investing in the real estate sector in the country. In this regard, had played role to introduce the international organization Remax in the country.

If the government provides facilities to investors, economic stability in Pakistan can be greatly enhanced.

He said that insurance companies in the construction sector also need to change their mindset. In this regard, several insurance companies have been briefed about the insurance title.

Sameer Dossal said that Canada-Pakistan Business Council is taking all possible steps to create opportunities for education and bilateral trade between the two countries. He said that Pakistani diplomats stationed in Canada are very supportive.

Earlier, KATI President Salman Aslam said that there are a large number of Pakistanis living in Canada who are concerned about Pakistan. The youth of Pakistan have immense potential which needs to be tapped. Salman Aslam said that SM Muneer, the Patron-in-Chief of KATI, also has a heart for Pakistan while living in Canada.

President KATI said that further steps are needed to promote trade between the two countries. The role of the Canada-Pakistan Business Council is crucial in promoting common trade.

At the end of the event, KATI Senior Vice President Maheen Salman thanked the guests and said that Canada-Pakistan Business Council would continue to work with local investors and traders in partnership with KATI.
