Baltistan farmers increase production and profits

Income and productivity are up for more than 8,000 farmers in Baltistan – for some as much as 40 percent. This is just one of several achievements celebrated today at the conclusion of the US-funded Satpara Development Project, a seven-year effort to increase access to irrigation and spur economic growth in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Federal Information Commission becomes functional: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday said that Federal Information Commission, constituted under Right to Information Act 2017, has become functional with the appointment of Federal Chief Information Commissioner and two Information Commissioners. Speaking at an event organized by the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) on implementation of Right to Information Act 2017, he said that formation of this Commission was part of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf government’s 100-day agenda.
