Leather exports dwindling

Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders has expressed concern over falling production and dwindling exports of the leather sector and called for steps to revive it.  A statement Chamber says that once vibrant leather sector is sailing in troubled waters and its exports for the year 2015.16 fell by 12.35 percent on the back of rising cost of production despite GSP status, it said.

K-electric continues to enhance reliability of power supply across its network

In line with its commitment to deliver safe and affordable electricity across its network, K-Electric has managed to significantly improve the reliability of power supply across its network; a testament of which is bringing down its T&D Losses from almost 36% in 2009 to under 22% in 2016, along with exemption of over 61% of Karachi from load-shed whereas provision of uninterrupted power supply to all industrial zones.

PM chairs important meeting on Foreign Policy
