Arts Council of Pakistan celebrates 14th Aug

The joyous moments of Pakistan’s independence were observed on the night of 13th august 2018 at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi where the 2-days “Azadi Festival 2018” kick off on the colorful evening of independence and celebrated by thousands gather on the occasion.

Nasir Hussain Shah, recently elected MPA, said that Pakistan beats in the hearts of millions and we all are praying that Pakistan always keeps growing and progressing. He praised Muhammad Ahmad Shah on holding the prestige ceremony for the Independence Festival.

Syed Sardar Ali Shah, elected MPA said that this country was acquired after great sacrifices and there are many dreams and promises that we all must meet together. He said that this country will grow further, and we hope that both our rulers and the people will walk together with each other and cooperate to make this country great. Syed Sardar Ali Shah expressed his views regarding the function, saying that the Arts Council Karachi spread love for the country through art and culture every year on the occasion of Independence Day.

President of Arts Council Karachi Mohammad Ahmed Shah said that on 14th August doesn’t onlyholds a historical aspect, but the day is no less than an Eid day for us. “This special day is the day of independence and huge like an Eid day for 200 million people of this country”, said Ahmad Shah. “On this day, the great nation of Pakistan came into being and now it is our duty to take part in the development of our beloved homeland”, he added. Ahmed Shah further said that the Art Council on independence night of August 13th, conducts this colorful function every year to strengthen the color of freedom, so that all the people around the city could take part in these pleasant moments.

At the function of “Azadi Festival 2018,” national flag hosting ceremony occurred at 12 o’clock and the national anthem was sung out load by thousands gathered. Meanwhile, the cake of 71th anniversary of Pakistan was cut by Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Nasir Hussain Shah, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, QasimSoomro, Ghulam Abbas, Mohammad Ifraheem and Professor Sahar. The most fascinating demonstration of the city’s fireworks were also set by the Arts Council Karachi which mesmerized the audience.

The colorful ceremony of “Azadi Festival 2018” was also attended by Secretary Professor Ejaz Farooqui, Professor Sahar Ansari, Members of Arts Council Karachi governing body Iqbal Latif, Qudsiyah Akbar, Bashir Saduzai, Asjad Bukhari, Kashif Grami, Abdul Majid Abidani and many other political, social and literary figures.

The two-day Azadi festival was inaugurated on the evening of 13th august where in opening session, the country’s leading young singer, AsimAzhar performed concert and scattered the colors of freedom. There were a huge crowd of thousands was present on the occasion. AsimAzhar presented many songs including famous national songs “hai koi ham jesa” and “haijazbajanoon” and sung the national anthem along with the crowd at the end of the concert.

Senior singer Mohammad Ifrahim also presented the national songs in the ceremony and presented the famous song “Zameenkigoud rang se umang se bharirahy”. On this occasion, senior artists Ghulam Abbas, Taj Mastani, Imran Javaid and TafilSanjirani spread the colors of music along with theyoung musicians of the Arts Council music academy. Face painting stalls for children were settled, while the large number of food stalls were also placed.

On the occasion of celebration of celebration freedom. Take part and take part. On this occasion, along with the elected members, provincial assemblies Nasir Hussain Shah, Syed Sardar Ali Shah and Qasim Soomro, were also known as artists, writers and intellectuals.
