An historic agreement of charter of demands with the increase of Rs. 7,700 in workers’ salaries was sanctioned by the management in Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan. A meeting of General Body was held yesterday at Al-Rabia Hamdard Factory, Nazimabad, Karachi, in which Zaheer Ahmed Khan, General Secretary, Hamdard Unity Workers Union (CBA) got the approval of agreement from the workers. Apart from increase in salaries, medical facilities, increment in gratuity and bonuses have also been granted.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohammad Tanveer, Incharge, Labour Division, MQM said it was a historic agreement. He thanked and congratulated Mrs. Sadia Rashid and Usama Qureshi, Chairperson and Managing Director & CEO of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) respectively and the members of negotiating team – Director, CLA Syed Ziauddin, Dy. Director, Adm and Security, Mudassar Farooqui, Dy. Director HR and Administration, Abbas Raza and Dy. Director Personnel, Abdul Majid Siddiqui and to the members of CBA and Hamdard Unit, who were also a part of negotiating team. MQM Unit Incharge, Shamim Khan; Joint Incharge Fayyaz Ahmed Ansari; Vice President, Sarwar Kazmi and Publicity Secretary; Syed Mazharul Islam also spoke and congaluted the Hamdard workers. President, Hamdard Union, Saleemul Qader; Dy. General Secretary, Ishrat Hussain; Joint Secretary, Rehan Ahmed were also present at the meeting. Workers gave their approval for the agreement of charter of demands by raising their hands.
